Shalaka Joshi founded Finsmart in 2007 with a clear vision: to provide reliable, professional accounting services to multinational companies and Indian entrepreneurs facing complex financial challenges. With deep financial expertise and a background in international business, Shalaka recognized the need for efficient, structured accounting services that went beyond what traditional Indian CA firms offered. Finsmart quickly became a trusted partner, delivering timely and global-ready financial reporting, compliance, payroll, and accounting solutions that allowed businesses to focus on scaling their operations.
The next phase of Finsmart’s growth came when Shalaka partnered with Maanoj Shah, a serial entrepreneur with extensive experience in scaling businesses. As Co-founder, Maanoj helped expand Finsmart’s reach globally and spearheaded the development of ‘Accounting Seat,’ a plug-and-play model that addressed capacity challenges for international finance teams. Together, Shalaka and Maanoj grew Finsmart from a local firm to a global leader, now serving over 300 clients across six countries, delivering tech-driven accounting solutions that fuel business growth worldwide. Their shared vision and collaboration continue to drive Finsmart’s success.

Growing up in Pune, Shalaka was immersed in the world of business through her father’s company, Electronica Group. This exposure to entrepreneurship led her to pursue Chartered Accountancy, equipping her with the skills to navigate complex financial landscapes. While working in finance, she realized that many businesses struggled with accounting and compliance, lacking the right expertise to manage them efficiently.
Determined to bridge this gap, she founded Finsmart, helping businesses streamline financial operations while staying compliant. What started as a solution for Indian businesses soon grew into a global accounting outsourcing firm, serving CPA firms and companies worldwide. Today, Shalaka continues to drive Finsmart’s growth, ensuring it remains a leader in efficient, expert-driven financial solutions.

Born into a family of entrepreneurs, business and risk-taking were a part of Maanoj’s DNA. While he pursued Chartered Accountancy to understand the technical side of finance, he quickly realized that his passion lay in scaling businesses, optimizing processes, and driving customer success. His journey took him across hospitality, technology, healthcare, and consulting, where he held CXO roles and mastered the art of business transformation and financial growth. As the Founder of 10-CFO, he has helped startups, entrepreneurs, and PE-backed businesses build financially strong, scalable enterprises.
Beyond business, Maanoj is deeply committed to social impact. He co-founded Mission ICU, a healthcare initiative that received recognition from the World Economic Forum for its efforts in strengthening rural healthcare infrastructure. He actively contributes to Rotary, ICAI, and various charitable organizations, ensuring that his expertise and resources drive meaningful change. A tennis player, marathoner, trekker, and nature enthusiast, he believes in resilience—both in business and in life. Dipali Phadke is the Head of Operations at Finsmart Solutions and one of the founding members of the company. Having joined at its inception, Dipali has played an integral role in shaping the company’s operational structure and guiding it through its evolution over the years. Her leadership and dedication have been the backbone of Finsmart’s success, as she oversees and manages the entire operational framework of the organization, ensuring smooth and efficient processes across all areas.
A qualified Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience in Accounting, Taxation, and Audit, Dipali’s professional expertise has been pivotal in driving Finsmart’s operational excellence. Her deep understanding of financial processes and her ability to manage complex operations have helped establish the company’s reputation for delivering high-quality, reliable outsourced accounting services.
As a key member of the leadership team, Dipali is known for her exceptional team leadership skills. Kshitij leads and ensures consistent operational excellence at Finsmart Accounting. With a strong blend of process design, team leadership and domain expertise, and a decade of experience in managing accounting operations for US-based clients, Kshitij has built scalable workflows that improve accuracy, turnaround time, and communication across multi-level teams.
On the personal front, Kshitij is an active individual with a plethora of interests. He is a YouTube vlogger, an automation specialist, a technical analyst focused on trading strategies, a certified mind power trainer—and a total fitness freak. Whether it’s hitting the gym or staying active through daily routines, he values the discipline and clarity that physical fitness brings to life and work.

Sharvari Gandhi
VP – US Taxation
With 18 years of experience in US Taxation, accounting, and financial leadership, Sharvari Gandhi is a strategic and accomplished tax executive.
As a licensed US CPA, and Vice President of US Taxation at Finsmart, she heads the tax department and oversees its operations and development. She began her career in public accounting, spending 12 years at leading firms in New York and California, where she advised clients on complex tax matters.
Known for her analytical rigor and leadership, Sharvari excels at translating intricate tax regulations into clear, actionable insights. During her tenure, she has led high-performing teams, and implemented tax processes that have supported organizational growth.
On the personal front, Sharvari has a diverse range of interests. She enjoys exploring nature, reading, and painting. She is also fascinated by gemstones and is a GIA-certified Diamond Grader.
